The CAAL team head out to Samarkand, Uzbekistan for an inaugural workshop hosted by Dima Voyakin at the International Institute for Central Asian Studies. We will be joined by dozens of participants from partner institutions from China, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
